World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading
Upgrades can increase the value of weapons, armors and rings. They also boost extra bonuses such as crit chance and PvE damage.
If the weapon's upgrade template is in %, the weapon will be able to gain an additional 3% of the previous damage every time it's upgraded.
The cost of upgrading an item is determined by the item's level. The cost increases as the item level increases.
Components
Upgrade components are items that can be put into armor, weapons, and trinkets to give a stat bonus or extra impact while they're being used. They can be obtained through crafting, buying from vendors or trading with other players or looting. Certain upgrades have unique cosmetic effects.
Upgrade components can be placed in equipment that has a slot to accommodate them; the item must have been at least upgraded to the blue level to allow a component to be inserted. Upgrade components, unlike other mods, can only be applied only once. They are not able to be replaced or applied several times. Infusions and Enrichments are a kind of upgrade component used to upgrade non-amulet legendary and Ascended equipment, as well in some items that aren't ascended. Infusions and Enrichments can be obtained by salvaging ascended equipment or by completing a mission within the Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall campaigns.
A prefix or suffix may be added to an upgrade, which alters the name of the item it is used on (for example 'Canthan Armor Insignia',' changes to Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). Certain upgrades can increase the Mark Rarity or Level of an item, which lets players to create stronger versions of the item using fewer Upgrade crystals than they would need to reach the same level with normal methods.

Whether a boost upgrade is successful or not, the process can be costly and there is a substantial possibility that the item will become obsolete or even break if it fails. A failure to upgrade can destroy Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder, as well as the upgraded item. This is reduced by the availability of cash shop items to double or even eliminate the chance of failure, and some upgrades that offer a bonus when reinserted into an item.
Glyphs
Glyphs can be used to upgrade the Paragon Board by placing them in sockets that are specifically designed for. Glyphs, the only upgrade component that can be removed without restriction and then replaced again are the most commonly used. Only legendary equipment can be salvaged and replaced using a Black Lion Salvage Kit.
Each Glyph has a specific range of values that it can improve a stat by, and the value is displayed when you select the Glyph in your inventory. You can choose to replace it with another Glyph with the same rank, or a higher rank, which will increase the value of the glyph.
Glyphs can be found in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of an Gem Store bundle or purchase the glyphs with certain tools that allow unlimited use as well as during Faction Crypt Raids. Every Faction Crypt will drop one of these Glyphs. There are some rare glyphs which you can find in any of the Faction Crypts.
Once you have obtained the desired Glyphs you will require them to be placed on your gear. Each Glyph unlocks a unique bonus that boosts the stats of a specific set of nodes that are within the radius of the Glyph. This will either be +40 for one of your primary stats or +25 for two of your secondary stats based on the Glyph.
Using the Glyph can boost all nodes that are linked to it, so you should try to place your Glyphs near key nodes on the Graph to maximise the impact. Druids for instance, should place their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes. They may be able to place them near their critical damage nodes.
Leveling
The upgrade system for items allows players to increase the effectiveness of certain items by placing upgraded components inside them. This is known as "upping". Each upgradeable item has an amount that determines the final stats. Upgraded items are able to be leveled up to a maximum of ilvl 385. Each level of an item requires different components, and upgrade costs increase with each level.
Certain upgrades require an ingredient to be activated. This ingredient is obtained by the completion of Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be found in the upgrade tab of a crafting table, or obtained from NPCs. Each Upgrade Recipe that is completed earns several Technology Points. These points can be used to level the item, and when enough points have been earned, the upgrade can be claimed and its additional bonuses will be added to the item.
When a player upgrades an item, the base item is replaced with a different item of the same type. The same armor can be transformed into the form of a weapon or shield when upgraded. The new item will come with a bonus of its own. This could be a problem because it can cause the item to become more expensive if you do not need it.
The upgrades to items can be rerolled, if the player has enough tokens to do this. This causes the item to be exchanged for a new one, with an initial level and a completely different set of extra bonuses. This is a good idea, but should not be repeated often since it can be a waste of resources.
Certain upgrades can be rerolled multiple times which increases their value and allowing the player to customize their gear. Dolphin's Gift is a good example, since it grants an increase in power if the player repeatedly enters or leaves the water. It can be upgraded multiple times, each time raising the maximum roll by an increment of 10. This item is extremely useful in PvP. A perfectly rolled version could be worth up to 50x the value of a non-upgraded counterpart.
Requirements
The item upgrader allows players to increase the level of their equipment (armor, weapons, and trinkets) above ilvl 385 by providing the appropriate currency to the NPC. The upgrade of armor set pieces will also increase the base defense of the piece, whereas upgrading weapon equipment will increase the damage base and required strength and dexterity to meet the upgraded equipment's requirements.
All items can be upgraded a maximum of five times, except for hero gear that can be upgraded up to eight times. Each time you upgrade an object, it has a chance of failing. item upgrading of failure increases as you move beyond the maximum number. Failures can cause the item to revert to its original state, which will force the user to spend more materials than they would had they stopped upgrading at the maximum number of upgrades.
If an item fails to upgrade, the amount of accumulated experience in its growth bar is reset to zero. The item will also lose any bonuses it earned like the chance to crit damage to attack, additional effects (such as an increase in healing over time, or the speed of reloading). The player is able to use their weapon or armor after the failure.
When an item is upgraded the upgrades are applied from the lowest to highest. This means that if a weapon gains a crit chance increase it will be applied prior to any damage from attacks increases. A new attribute called Slots has been added to the item definition and the value is computed every time an upgrade is made.
The amount of resources required to upgrade an item are determined by its rarity rating and the number of upgrade slots. The cost of upgrading equipment that is not premium is equal to its base value. For example an item of common use could have five upgrades at a cost of. 25600 Technology Points 4x Quality Improvement Opportunity. Hero grade items have lower costs per upgrade.
Premium items may have different upgrade requirements from standard gear. For instance they might require less sowels, but they will require more minerals and orons. The player will need to take every piece of equipment they wish to upgrade to the NPC [ArmorBoboko. Boboko located in Central Flarine. In addition to the upgrade costs listed above, each equipment upgrade requires the use of different upgrade ingredients.
